In the Mansion House ...........

four much less sinister fellows than the troll / God (?) that watches over those entering through the external door, watch over the internal hallway.

Along with the wood pannelling on the walls they are carved in oak and are sited above the door on a wooden frieze that encircles the whole room.

I don't think many people know they are there but I think they are very well carved and I love them.
