A deflowered flower
Yesterday, I blipped the pollen producing stamen of an Hippeastrum (sold by florists as Amaryllis). In the wild, the huge flowers of Hippeastrum are probably pollinated by humming birds and bats. Unfortunately there are no hummingbirds nor bats flying around Talpa's conservatory and so I have been reduced to using a small paintbrush to mimic their efforts. This is the result, the female stigma of the flower liberally dusted with yellow pollen (best seen zoomified).
