Sunshine

It was such a lovely day today. Elizabeth, Rebecca and I sat outside to enjoy the sunshine. As we had the picnic rug out, Elizabeth asked if we could have a picnic. So we did!

When her daddy got home, we took a walk around to the shops, all 4 of us, and bought a few supplies. When we got home, we laid out sandwiches for each of us, and put some crisps in a bowl for us all to share. Elizabeth decided that the whole bowl was for her and wouldn't share them at all!

After lunch we drove out to Santon Downham to take a walk and to look for geocaches. Both girls had a nap on the way. When we got there, Elizabeth was still sleepy, so she went in "Rebecca's" pushchair for a little while. When she properly woke up, she was in a fantastic mood for the rest of the day. It was a joy to watch her.

Several times when she was running along, she would hear Rebecca give a happy squeal. Elizabeth stopped, turned around and said "Was that you Becca?" She was also pretending to splash in puddles, in the places where there would have been puddles if there had been any rain. And she was LOVING looking for treasure; lifting things up, digging, etc.

We were not successful with out treasure hunting. We didn't find any of the caches we were looking for. However, we did give Elizabeth some treasure of her own each time.

Rebecca was a happy girl too, she stayed in her carrier for most of the time, making delighted squeals and smiling at her daddy walking next to her. When she got a little grumpy, we stopped to feed her, then put her into her pushchair. She LOVED it! She watched all around her, and lay so content and relaxed that I was surprised she didn't fall asleep.

Great day.
