the first cut is the deepest...

awake at 4.30am on a sunday (my designated lie in day). was awake an hour and half, and then snoozed til 6.30am. had impromptu 1/2 english breakfast - poached egg, baked beans, and sicilian sausages on the forman! then walked to 49 to start coving! was excited about this, but also v nervous. never done coving before, and as i suspected i didn't have the right equipment! the saw i had wasn't the right one, and i knew it as soon as i made the first cut... quick call to li and matt followed! i'm rubbish at maths, and even worse at angles, so it took me a couple of attempts to get things right. end result is one room done, and 5 more to go. feel v proud of my work today. putting coving up is so much easier now than when we were kids, and my dad used our lisa as a prop to hold up the coving! finished shift a 2.30pm (chinese dentist!), and did shop at sainos. giggled at the till as the old chinese guy in front of me was bulk buying long grain rice....21 bags of it! is there a rice crisis i don't know about? he was definately panic buying rice , stock piling it i suspect! and i've got pictures to prove it! home and lawn mowed, then relax. early to bed tonight....
