All Fools Day
i went to bed early last night, whacked after the excitement of the bonnet parade. managed a lie in til 8am, fabulous.
i registered last night to run the Robin Hood half marathon with Pete (nephew Pete, not Pete Beagle), so healthy breakfast this morning, and not the welsh rarebit i had yesterday!
tidied up, cleaned bathroom and then off for a long walk with Lorraine and Albert around Felley, 2 1/2 hours. back home, pete whacked, spot of lunch and then i ventured out to take some photos. it was v v cold today, coldest day of the weekend.
visited the Holy Trinity Church in Kimberley, in search of a stained glass window for a little photo project. unfortunately doors were closed, but had a wander round all the same. this church has been the venue for many family events...mum and dads wedding, my christening, and my bro & sis. my appearance as bridesmaid for the wedding of RB & pammy, and of course my dads funeral.....
i also remember a school disco here too, in the church hall, and some action in the graveyard with a couple of pupils from our year! i wandered through the tiny graveyard, all overgrown, squirrels flying up trees around me, startled by my being there.
some of the gravestones have decayed. liked the colour of this one.
back home to the warmth of the house. more cleaning, whilst Pete slept still. Lazy evening now, coro and the fab Broadchurch later!
what a fab Easter weekend, again.....
