Erythroniums again
Today's the day ................................. to write to a friend
Dear Mrs flying
You asked me the other day to post a picture of the erythroniums in my garden when they came into flower - and so here they are! What a difference a few days make. They've gone from looking very sorry for themselves to being wide open and dancing in the breeze. Of course, there's been a real change in the weather - back to sunshine and blue skies - and that has had a lot to do with it.
If only we lived a bit closer, I could have given you a clump of them for your garden. I like the sound of your garden - and I know that it's full of flowers from all the wonderful pictures that you take. I also know that you like to make a tour of the estate (cuppa in hand!) - just like me. In fact, I think that we have a lot of things in common - and that we would get on fine if we met.
But there it is - there's no getting away from the fact that you're about 10,000 miles away on the other side of the world. Although that does have advantages - you can keep me going through the dark days of winter, when there's nothing in my garden, with your exquisite roses and fiery gazanias - and vice versa.
Hope all goes well with you - and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to!
Love and best wishes
Mrs S
