Above the Firbush Outdoor Centre the conifer plantation hides this secret wee glade (known to the Firbush staff as The Fairy Glen! Hmmm... it is a magical place, though)
It is so hard to capture the tranquillity and beauty of the place, the thick moss over the boulders and the thick pine forest on either side,. deadening all sound. The hoary birches, thick with lichen in the pure air. Wood sorrel flowers and violets.

I spent so long on the walk (that should only have taken an hour and a half, or so) that people were starting to worry. Even with all the time spent with the camera, I still haven't really managed to capture it...I'll try again next time)
