Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis)

A very early blip for me as I have a very busy day today. This is one of our Moth Orchids (Phalaenopsis) which we have had for several years. There are about sixty species of Phalaenopsis and this is one of the most popular, produced through the development of artificial species. This one sometimes blooms twice a year and the flowers, like many orchids, remain for about three months.

A very foggy start to the day, but hopefully this will soon burn off and we will have sunshine.
