It is Friday!

Last night at Burgundy's it was Pete Major's Quintet and this is Peter Boocock on drums. As you will see from his website, he is a very happy man and a very talented musician. His drum solos vibrate the whole room and rise into an amazing crescendo. In this sketch you can see him totally focussed on his drumming. Of course when he realised I was sketching him he just could not resist looking at me with his big friendly smile - which meant it took me even longer to do this sketch!! In the background, where Peter likes to see him (!), is the awesome Laurence Canty on bass. The other 2 were Dave Lee on sax and clarinet and his lovely singing daughter Fran, who I hope to sketch one day. Just a great evening with excellent beers, some made in Burgundy's micro brewery.
