The Cows are back

Back in East Devon for just a few hours after being away on Dartmoor for three weeks. This morning Jinxy and I were at Lamberts Castle to find that the cows are back in residence. They are here most years for a few months as part of the biodiversity plan (they eat the grass and tread all the brambles down)

These seem as docile as the others have been and no reaction to a mere spaniel although when they have calves, they do get a little protective. As yet I have not seen the bull who normally roams with them. The last one one was a real genial giant who only has one thing on his mind!!
