Duddingston Loch

We decided to get an early start on the day and take a trip to Duddingston Loch. Mum had heard there might be Otters there and so we set off to hunt for them. We didn't see any otters but we got some lovely shots of swans. The sun was shining and it was a lovely morning. I spotted my first ever Heronry. I've never seen one before, in fact, it had never occurred to me that they nested in trees let alone in large groups in trees. It was amazing.

Our early start to the day meant we were in Morningside to run errands by coffee time and finished in IKEA by lunch. Afternoon of more errands before dinner at Zizzis.
