For Kelly

A couple of years ago, some wonderful people came into our life. Two couples, Jay and Kellie, and Wayne and Kelly. We met them whilst at mums in the summer, and every summer since we met they have been great company and like an extra set of very cool parents for James.

In the last 8 months, despite 220 miles between us, our friendship with Wayne and Kelly has developed, largely through shared frustrations over the slow wheels of our health service. Those of you who have gathered, or know, what I am going through...let me tell you, Kelly has had it way worse.

Despite this, she and Wayne continue to send messages of love and support for me, give me advice, kick me up the arse when I need it and have just been there for me and I have really valued that - I don't know if they know how much.

Anyway, Kelly has had, we hope, some resolution to her problem. I hope upon hope that it does what it is supposed to have done because I know how much she has suffered and for how long. She has a way to go, but let me tell you, you haven't met anyone stronger than her - she's a fighter and she'll tough this out.

So, because we can't get to her, we are sending her some virtual flowers that I very (un)artistically created on the iPad for her. James is holding them for his extra Mum (and secretly he is sticking his tongue out at his extra dad...yeah Wayne, you know it).

Get well Kelly. Rest, let them look after you. Take your time and keep in mind your spot under YOUR tree by the pool. I hope that we can catch up under it and take the mickey out of Wayne in a couple of months time.

Love
Sarah, Corin and Jimboooooooooo....jimbo ah ah

In other news - today largely involved nonsense, silliness, scissors and pubes. I kid you not. A normal day at the office then.
