Something of a back blip as it was a late night last night!

Needing only 1 more win to secure the Evostik First Division North title, AFC Fylde went into this game against Salford unbeaten in 10 games. Salford are always gritty opponents and were in no mood to let us have a party without working hard for it.

Despite the lion's share of possession and a plethera of chances, they could not score.
A goalkeeper having the game of his life didn't help either!

Just before half time Fylde scored and the cheer was one of relief as much as celebration.

This is a team that can play some beautiful football when they get the chance. But thay have also learned recently to do the ugly stuff and grind out results.

In the second half thhey were pretty much camped in the Salford half but couldn't add to the goal tally.

3 minutes of added time and a prompt from the PA man raised the noise levels from the crowd.
One of the players looked across at me to check how long to go "15 seconds!" and right on cue the referee blew his whistle to spark the celebrations.

Cue the Music: Another One Bites The Dust, We Are The Champiions, The Best, Hi Ho Silver Lining, etc., etc..

I'm so pleased for the management and players. They have worked hard and deserve this.

I can't make Saturday as I'm in London for Olympic Volunteer training,so I'm so pleased they got the job done tonight.

Other possible blips tonight could have been the lovely tulips I saw, experimental shots I took through some trees, or my fish and chip pree match meal.
But in the end, even though it's blurred, it had to be the lads celebrating
