Time to kill
Thank you for the kind words yesterday
Clearly, writing is therapeutic. I wouldn't say I'm out of thhe woods but today has been a much better day.
A phone message from HR to ring "for a chat" didn't help though. But I'll try to put it out of my mind until tomorrow.
My son had meeting of the Youth Council tonight at Preston's County Hall. It's quite an impressive building but I couldn't get a decent shot of it.
Rather than go home, to return for him after his meeting I decided to do a bit of evening shoping and take a few photos to kill the time.
Shots of The market square are of Preston weren't doing it for me at all.
I finally ended up at the Station as it's not far from County Hall, and got a few reasonable shots.
I don't know why but I like train stations and airports and could happily spend time just watching the comings and goings. Whether I will feel quite the same on Saturday as I await the 05:58 to London Euston remains to be seen :)
Of all the shots, I quite like this one. I'm not sure if the Virgin train has terminated or is starting from Preston, but it was there for quite a while.
There is quite a bit going on in the scene and one wonders where everyone is going or has been? Which loved ones await tales and updates on the arrival of the travellers?
Had he still been with us I wonder if this is the sort of scene LS Lowry might have painted with his matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs?
