....and she's buying a stairway to.....

the loft space actually. After 20 years in this house the Boss sudddenly decided what she needed was better access to the loft. We had thought about it before but because of the placement of the hatch there wasn't enough room for a ladder to fit under the rafters.

Once she gets a bee in her bonnet thought there's no stopping her so she ordered me to speak to my fishing buddy Mark. He came round, had a look and suggested this new type of ladder that need minimal clearance. That was it....her mind was made up. She booked him to do the job....and so today...a rainy day when he couldn't do any outside work he turned up.....made the hatch bigger and fitted the ladder.

Now she has plans for a new boiler in the loft, which will mean work in the kitchen...and boarding out part of the loft....alll this because we decided on a new bathroom....which led to her wanting a new condenser boiler...which led to a loft ladder.....Christ knows what will be next.

Car goes in tomorrow for the window motor...there'd better not be any nonsense!
