Okanagan Lake

Another day of driving and beautiful scenery. We set off from Merritt and drove through to Kelowna with a few stops on route to take pics and soak up the views. Kelowna is a large town which sits on both sides on the Okanagan Lake. The Lake is 135km long and 5km wide and the scale is incredible.

Its been a beautiful hot sunny day and we parked up to take a walk along the waterfront. The Kelowna Yacht Club was holding a boat sale and family fun day so the marina was buzzing with stalls and people. We enjoyed deciding which boat we would want to buy but most were huge floating pontoon boats.

We stopped for lunch at a local pub and watched the world go by as we sat in the sunshine. It was then on through Vernon to our final stop at our camp ground at Swan Lake. The sites are literally on the side of the lake with the most amazing views. A perfect way to end the day.
