What You Lookin' At?
Since a pair of Sparrowhawks started coming to our garden last year other avian visitors have been extremely rare and none have come to the bird feeders despite our maintaining fresh supplies. We still see them fly over and land next door. I did manage some decent photos of the predators but they soon started searching elsewhere for their dinner.
So we were thrilled this afternoon when this Goldfinch alighted on a feeder and stayed awhile. I even had time to fetch a camera a take a few shots albeit through the kitchen window. I really like it when a bird I photograph is looking directly at me.
