Things I can see...
....from my spot on the sofa, trapped under a sleeping baby.
So I'm in bed with the boys, wondering at what point I ought to get up and bring Charley back downstairs as he's not going to stay asleep anyway if I do sneak off.
On tenterhooks waiting to hear from sweetdustybones, waiting for a birth announcement which seems imminent...
Figure I may as well start writing my blip, even though I've taken precisely two photographs so far today, both on my phone. Of plants in the garden.
And as much as I want to know how she's doing I can't text her to find out because a couple hours' ago she was 8cm dilated so I don't think she's going to be in much state to reply right now!
Praying that she's not needed a drip of any sort, praying that hubby wakeupandsmellthecoffee is still being amazing, praying that her heart rhythm issue doesn't flare up, praying for as little intervention as possible, praying for safety, for health, for protection, for helpful wonderful midwives....
Today Ben went to school again. And stayed the full three hours! I left after about five minutes - had a goodbye kiss (which he told daddy about later) and came home.
Chatted to my raspberry canes as I lifted them up and attached them to the trellis, supporting them and protecting them a bit from the high winds we're getting at the moment.
Texted sweetdustybones a bit.
Played with Charley a bit. He didn't like that Ben wasn't around to keep him company.
Went back to school after a couple of hours (as agreed) to see how he was doing, he wanted to stay so we stayed and I just sat and observed. He's made a friend! Thick as thieves they are already. Absolutely delightful to see, in all truthfulness!
Came home and wolfed down two ham sandwiches after asking if he could have his lunch now (he had a late breakfast, in my defense!). I asked if he'd had a snack at school and after telling me he'd had apple, and a biscuit, and more apple, he looked straight at me and said I knew there was food at school mum!!
Then he wolfed down his pasta at dinnertime as well!
Bedtime quite civilised...
Charley came downstairs pretty quickly, slept on me a bit...
Really hope Hazel's alright but we're going to have to go to bed soon!!!!
