May Day ! !

May Day lived up to its name and was warm and sunny all day. We headed up the west side of Lochgilphead up the scenic route towards Oban. Glorious colours on the hills and the sea around Croabh Haven where we went looking for some wldlife. The only wildlife we saw were two wee snappy dogs who came at us full tilt, one even attacked my big lens! just as well I pulled it away just in time.

We spotted this old boat on the way round Loch Craignish to Ardfern. One of the local boatmen told us it was built in 1929, not sure how long it has been lying there but it is certainly not going anywhere in that condition. He said it had dry rot and was allowed to rot away. Such a shame as it looks to have had a beautiful shape at one time. It glowed golden in the setting sun , its reflection turning the water to liquid gold.
