The ANZAC of the Year Award - the actual award

The Award is currently on display at the new Shilling Club on campus! It made me feel very proud to see it there.

"Student army receives Anzac of the Year Award
In a twist to this year's Anzac of the Year Award, the honour has been handed not just to non-military personnel but also to a group.

A special ceremony has taken place in Christchurch tonight to present the award to representatives of the 9000-strong Student Volunteer Army in recognition of its contribution to the Canterbury community following the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes.

The Student Volunteer Army (SVA) formed after Christchurch's September 2010 earthquake, and mobilised again during the February, June and December quakes."
