Cruise Ship

Three or four years ago I could have taken this shot of Zihuatanejo Bay just about every day, but cruise ships in our bay have become somewhat of a rarity the past couple of years. From what we hear, arrivals used to happen every other day during the high season, but they have since dwindled to about once a month. Poor economy, bad press, and changing tastes have all been blamed for the decline. The restaurants and shops in town are paying a heavy price for the lack of cruise ships, so it was good to see the Zuiderdam stop by on its way up from the Caribbean.
