Surfs Up

Another day of abortive surfing for me. It seems each time I go out, I get worse. Today, the waves and current were so strong I was unable to paddle out past the break. It was okay as I had taken my camera so I was able to busy myself taking photographs. There were about a dozen surfers catching waves. I watched in awe as they continually rode waves in, then paddled effortlessly back out to ride another (even after hard landings from exits like this). It made me think there is more at play than just paddling strength, might have something to do with technique as well. Here's to more practice in the coming weeks.
