Roll With It

Great Days

Like our friend Roly we had a great day, it started with the sun streaming through the bedroom windows, always a good start. This was followed by a 'double yolker' with my bacon and toast, the day is getting better already.
We arrived at the 'House Of Tut', no coffee or cake this morning just straight on to Sennen
Sennen is my favourite place/beach in Cornwall but only in spring and autumn, in the summer it becomes horrendously crowded. Anyway enough of that, it's about today, tremendous day. Our first beach day of 2012, we had no sooner put the bags down and the children were off to the water - what it's all about. We took a pic-nic so apart from car parking fees and one coffee no spending.
Two hours later we were off to another of Cornwall's gems, Porthcurno Beach.
Porthcurno nestles below the Minack Theatre a quite narrow beach that is famous for being the place where the first ever Trans-Atlantic telegraph cable came ashore. The children got stuck into the remnants of the pic-nic then returned to rock pooling, rock climbing, swimming and having a good time, the adults brewed up, cafeteire made coffee on the beach, very grand.
Two hours later we were heading home, faces glowing from the wind and sun, tired but happy.
Another great day.
