Affirmation

Evening all.

I can't express to you all how happy i am to see the ladies who lunch return to the field at the back of the house. Normally they're all out and about by the middle of April at the latest, but when they hadn't appeared by the end of the month i thought that it was going to be left fallow (in the broadest sense of the word).

No, not a bit of it, and they made their fashionably late appearance earlier this week , strolling around with a certain bovine coquettishness.

Not a great picture this one, as it was the long end of the telephoto lens, normally they wander all over at will, but they were all a bit spooked today due to one of their number being, well, dead.

There seem to be a plethora of dead beasts on show at the moment, two dead sheep on the weekend, now a dead cow...nature at its finest i say.
