Anthocharis Cardamines - britannica

An absolutely beautiful start to the day, my son Lewis is going up to Twickenham to see a rugby match with some friends, he was due to meet his friends at 7am down at the Gosport ferry before crossing the harbour on the ferry to catch the train from Portsmouth Harbour railway station.
Least i could do for him was to give him a lift down to the ferry rather than have to get the bus.
Obviously, i was going to take advantage of the sunshine. I was going to blip the Spinnaker tower but wasn't happy with the direction of the sunshine.......excellent, has to be a nature shot then...........

I caught this "Orange-Tip" taking breakfast on Browndown.
Browndown is an area of heathland behind the beach line between Lee-on-the-Solent and Stokes Bay, Gosport. On a certain number of days during the month Browndown is locked down as parts of it are used as a firing range for the MOD.

No bullets flying this morning, everything is very tranquil............
