Expectant Parents................

The expectant parents were both taking 40 winks when i payed them a visit earlier this afternoon. I usually pop over to check up on them a couple of times a day. It seems like months since they first started building their nest.
Bev and i were away on the weekend of April 1st, while we were away that weekend we came across a swan on a huge nest which they'd built on the Chichester Canal.

Only after getting home did we spot the nest the swans had built on the moat surrounding Fort Brockhurst. So if the incubation time for swans eggs is around 35 to 37 days, our swans eggs must be due to hatch at any time now.........

I'm going to up my visits to the nest site which is actually just a 2 minute walk away.

Once i get some decent shots of the newly hatched, they'll be processed and blipped hopefully within a few minutes............
