A Plumbers Wife!

Synchronised twitching

Today, the glorious weather that apparently hit the South of England yesterday finally arrived here.

Corin, James and myself made the most of it by going on a bike ride (after James warmed up by running backwards and forwards to the field near our house to collect conkers! I told him I wanted 200 seeing as my 200th blip will be this week, but he lost interest at 66!)

We went to Risley Moss which is local to us, and we went to the viewing tower which looks across the moss and gives great views out over Macclesfield, Alderley, Manchester and other places. Its a favourite haunt of birdwatchers so I couldn't resist blipping these guys as they got all excited about some pair of birds (no they weren't tits!) and in perfect harmony and full synchronised the lifted their binoculars and watched intentently. You can see the sequence from here

We went from the Moss to Birchwood Park, and through to the BMX park, where James ditched his bike in preference to running up and down the ramps - ramp running and Corin reverted to his usual trickof nicking off with James bike (from here) but almost came a cropper which probably served him right.

Corin disposed of the bike shortly afterwards to give James a helping hand to get up the ramps, so that they could create more dirty washing for my underworked washing machine. Although this shot is blurry, Corin's face is a picture. And James' face on this one says it all!

Corin was obviously impressedwith the attention he was getting.

6 miles in total, not including running up and down ramps. Went home via Subway and got big sandwiches, then James and I went to fly his model airplance, which he managed to fly into a tree, which involved my fighting through the overgrown bushes at the back of the derelict YMCA near us to shake the bloody thing down from the tree. Have got bramble grazes all over me now!
