Early pheasant present

This is our Christmas present from David. A bit early but he brought it back from college yesterday and we knew what we were getting. I love it !
He used a slate floor tile and created the pheasant on the top using the textures and colours of the slate to add detail and adding splashes of green and gold paint as well as drawing the intricate pattern. He used a photo of Ken, our pheasant, so it means even more to us.

A mixed day weatherwise with several heavy snow showers and breezy. A touch of blue sky during the late morning but it did nt last long. A better day forecast tomorrow.

Looks like I can now edit my post which is good news and I can see if I have comments on the laptop without too much clicking :)
