On Schedule

The second of the end/beginning of year publications for the Royal Southampton Yacht Club has arrived from the printers and very shortly will be ready for mailing.
Members received the first of the two publications, On The Water, just before Christmas.
This one, the Members’ Handbook contains detailed information about Club matters and who’s who, and is distributed exclusively to Club members.
The two are prepared in tandem, which inevitably means flat out work from an editorial and design perspective during November and December, to ensure deadlines are met well in time for a production schedule and press time before the Christmas break. Fortunately we have a small team for both publications which is well capable when it comes to working to tight deadlines and design experience. My thanks to them.
And once again I get this measure of self satisfaction when I can actually see the end product, and feel it in my hands. I had half expected that as an old hand in print publishing that I would have grown out of that anticipation and eagerness by now, after more than half a century involved in the business, and having had a hand in countless publications in that time on a daily basis.

Not a bit of it!  And we are already making preparations for the next one, due out in March.
