The answer to yesterday's question ..

.. of what Hogmonay involves - or at least one of them - is far too much of the stuff in this bottle. Today as a consequence has been a quiet today, indeed the morning was non-existent as we didn't get back home until about 4am. My bones are too old to cope with such things.
The evening started at one neighbours with an interesting mix of people and skills. The people includes several locals with an Australian and three Wykehamists thrown in for good measure. The skills were marshalled to good use by our hostess with various cameos ranging for accordion and bagpipe duets, singing, reciting poems and some poi. Next year must be the year of the accordion for me.....
We then moved on with a significant group of the others for The Bells to our nearest neighbour and then the rum came out and the evening fell into some form of disrepair, as was my head today. A good evening however.
