A friend asked today whether there is anything worse than finishing book 3 of a series and not having book 4 ready and waiting in the wings?

There is actually. It's finishing book 3 of a trilogy.

I did that today. Here it is, page 1098, the last page of Ken Follett's The Edge of Eternity, Book 3 of The Century Trilogy. I've been reading it since September.

What am I going to read now?
