A stroll in the countryside

With all the Christmas dinner prep done first thing, the rest of the day was at our leisure.  Despite dying with a cough, The Boy thought a stroll out in the cold, fresh air would do me good.  We took a walk along some of the permissive paths on the Castle Estate.  We only did 2.5 miles in total, the effort and the cold causing me breathing difficulties as we went.  I took several shots of trees, becks full to bursting but my camera settings weren't right. 

This shot turned out not too bad.  This sign always amuses me.  It faces on to a footpath accessed by a little wooden footbridge.  What do they imagine you would be parking?
