Sunshine and snow

A bright day with occasional showers, cold and windy.

We went over to our local Dobbie's Garden Centre, where I managed to get some photos of some beautiful Orchids and a Helleborus, You can see them here if want to brighten your day.

On the way home, I caught a glimpse of Craigowl in the distance beyond a sunlit field. I hadn't realised that it had snowed up there overnight and the scene looked delightful so I pulled off the road into a farm track to take the photo. We are indeed fortunate to have such lovely countryside just a couple of miles or so from home.

As I write this a snowstorm has hit us - rather unexpectedly, since it was not forecast.
