Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Saturday, January 3, 2015 Salt Water Cowgirls

Okay, that's three cowgirls and one cowboy! And it's a crummy photo. But seeing these majestic animals on the beach is stunning. We had been walking along for a short way, when Mr. Fun pointed out the hoof prints in the sand. He wanted me to know that we'd most likely being seeing some horses, and he was right.

When we saw the horses from a distance, I told him to take the three pups and move toward the houses that line the shore. We wanted to give the horses lots of space and I wanted the ocean in the background of the photo.

We would never see horses on the sand of our southern California beaches, and we have seen them here on the Central Coast before; it is still an exciting moment.

We also watched a mom and dad with a youngster ride their bicycles past us on the sand. That is also something that we do NOT see on southern California beaches.

We picked-up lots of sea glass. That's always fun . . . like finding buried treasure.

And finally, on the north side of the pier, we watched a wedding on the sand. I personally believe that anytime I see a bride or a wedding, it is a good moment. So, of course, I was thrilled.

Good night from California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
