Another diversion taken in the unplanned life of a planner*.

The pause button has been pressed on the puppy madness. Trying to focus on the positive that this will hopefully be one of those things that turns out to be for the best. Bottom line is Anna got a little jumpy around the puppies and the breeder wasn't happy that she was ready for us to have one. She may be right, who knows but either way it means we're not getting a puppy in two weeks. A bit of a shock, a lot of an upset and ever so slightly heartbroken, but with time to discuss, reflect and come up with a plan of action we are all feeling better. And whilst it may not have been the decision I would have wanted her to take, in a world that can be cruel to animals, I do admire the breeder's integrity. And as I say, we are focusing on the positivies and concocting a plan to help Anna become more comfortable around dogs before we get one of our own which can only be a good thing.
