A slice of Lesley's life

By Lesley

Ever wondered what a blade to the head looks like?

Fortunately they had a comfortable 7-0 win in the third round of the cup which probably softened the blow a little. He's been a little sleepy this afternoon but after dinner and a game of FIFA15 with Carlos he seems much better. Not better enough though that it's okay for me to call him BladeHead apparently. But hey, some kids get nice moms and some get mean ones. Thems the breaks.

It was such a lovely sunny day and the match was bang in the middle of the day so we all headed down to support the boy. He plays for a really lovely team and all the parents and siblings there are really supportive and good company so it was a very pleasant outing. We even embarked on a little dog aversion therapy with Anna with a friendly dog who was there and overall are feeling quite confident about things progressing well. Talking to her today I thinj we failed to take into account how unprepared she was for being in the pen with the puppies and how little she knows what to do or how to be with a dog. For J it seems to come naturally but not so for Anna. The best thing though is that she is very keen to learn and wants to become more confident.

The only other stuff that happened today was a quite monumental amount of laundry as I finally got around to dealing with all the holiday bedding. I find listening to Radio4 always makes the world right and I didn't even mind ironing. But don't tell my mom - the shock would be too much.

Funny how we're all different, eh.
