As you can see...

One of our colleagues completed the final stage of her doctorate today.  She took part in the defence of her thesis and this is one of the diagrams within her thesis. Her opponent actually used the phrase “As you can see here…” but I think the majority of the audience, with the exception of specialist statisticians, couldn’t see it at all!
She considered whether reading on a screen differed in difficulty from reading on paper and showed that it did with some forms of reading.
Her successful defence was followed by a party, the reason this Blip is delayed by a few hours. We were home shortly after midnight but our younger colleagues continued partying until 4 in the morning!
