Chez nous
More snow today but still Gearradubh is snow central on the islands here. The driftwood is there to dry rather than prop up the house.
This weekend is the National Survey of Whooper and Bewick Swans so I went off counting them. Typical really that I go looking for big white birds when usually they are the only big white objects about but today there is a lot of other white stuff around.
It might recall a family story, always and regularly told at my expense of many years ago my boldly identifying a swan in the distance to find on closer approach it was a fish fertiliser bag - at least the bag was white.
Either way today I only got to 19 Whooper Swans and not a plastic bag in sight. I suspect the recent run of poor weather might have pushed many of the Swans further south.
