Today's the day ...................... to have fun with friends

Paula has told you how the day began with a look round the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art Two.

We then headed off to Glasgow for a bit of a wander and then a delicious meal at Gandolfi's Restaurant - before going to hear Eddi Reader and friends performing as part of the Celtic Connections festival.

It was Eddi's first concert at the festival for quite a number of years.  She was obviously delighted to be back in her beloved home town and she pulled out all the stops to give us a fine performance.  She finished up with her own very special rendition of Auld Lang Syne.  It was just her and the strings - and it was quite, quite magical.  I can still hear her exquisite voice, full of pathos, ringing out and filling the vast hall with such ease.  I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
