Unloading the Goods
You know I love my Florida birds...but...when you get a chance to see 3 fishermen unloading their catch...you just gotta go with the workers.
I asked my obvious can-you-tell-I'm-a-tourist questions.
"What are they?" (They are ladyfish.)
"Do people eat them, or are they baitfish?" (They eat the big ones, and use the smaller ones for bait.)
"How many do you think you have?" (Right around 35 hundred.)
"How long were you out to catch that many?" (10 hours.)
Then they had a question for me. "Do you ever shut up...Camera Boy?"
"Yes...yes I do." (They didn't really ask that.)
You get extra bonus points for two things.
1. If you asked..."I thought you said 3 guys...where's the third?" The third is the captain. He doesn't unload. He owns the boat. He's inside schmoozing.
2. If you noticed the pelican in the lower right...coming in for the steal. (He didn't get it.)
