Oh Dear...More Deer
I took my favorite country drive today...prepared to "settle" for some horse shots. Or, perhaps another shot from the National Cemetery.
As I've said WAY too many times, one of the bad things about winter here is that it takes away all of our color. But...when Mother Nature takes away all of her green cover...things open up. That's how I noticed these 2 deer. In the middle of the summer...I would have never seen them.
It wasn't my favorite shot of the day. A horse having a lunch of hay was my favorite. You can see it on my small FLICKR SET.
We're in another deep freeze. 6F right now at 5 p.m., and expected to go well below zero tonight. As one of our local weathermen says..."Cuddle alert...cuddle alert." (I cringe every time he says it.)
Gym t-shirt saying of the day (on a well-ripped young man): STRENGTH IS A CHOICE. I tried to relay the message to my body...but it refused to listen.
I thought about cropping this image a bit more, but decided I liked the deer looking rather small in their forest surroundings.
