Pagodas on the beach

There’s an island at the end of the beach called Lovers Island which we’ve seen when we’ve been running.  We take a walk down there this morning but can’t get to it as its only accessible at low tide!  

We spend the day on the beach and have a picnic lunch of some dried fish and big prawns from the ladies who walk up and down selling their wares. Late afternoon we go for another run and decide to go to the other end of the beach which is further than we thought.  We get back 50 mins later with tired legs but its been nice getting back to the running over the last few days.

This evening we go to the village.  We’ve not long been back from the run so take a cyclo taxi there, we get our bus tickets to Pathein for Sunday then have some dinner and walk back along the beach looking out for shooting stars.  A couple Andy was chatting to said there were loads last night.  We persevere for a while but don’t see any.
