Parents and girlfriends, I've made up a new acronym. 

This morning (early) Ben's and best friend Will's girlfriend came to watch them play football.  This seems to me a big demonstration of commitment since it's something I've often tried to avoid on a winter Sunday morning and I'm the mother.  Both came unsuitably dressed for the occasion, and ended up in BF's coats.

So after the match and with the boys covered from top to toe in mud  I really liked this picture which captured the devotion in both boys eyes.

And - whether it was the girls presence or not, they had another victory this week  9 -0!
