at home with an Ivysaurus

Poster boy for hippy parenting

Ivy was getting a bit wild in the afternoon in a 'she could do with a nap/ chill out' sort of way, so Euan wrapped her up whilst he stuffed nappies. Ivy who notoriously won't sit still for very long, is perfectly happy to sit still still when she's up in a wrap- altough she did keep suggest 'hat' coat'  and 'shoes' because she wanted to go outside. This is our new wrap- long enough to wrap twins in, it's very soft and when it first arrived Ivy rolled about on the floor cuddling it for a good 5 minutes. AND it matches our living room decor perfectly ;)

She went to soft play in the morning with Euan, we checked in advance which of the sessions Hannah would be going to- since Ivy has been asking for her. Hannah's big sister Lucy 'adopted' Ivy for the morning, and feed her snacks. When Ivy came in, she didn't even say hello to me and instead said 'toast!' and walked to the kitchen pointing at where the toast was kept. Apparently she was a poor starving hungry little girl who hadn't just been fed snacks all morning.  For the first time in a long time, we're not worried about Ivy and her weight and in fact I think her thighs are getting quite chunky. Her newfound love of peanut butter is helping i'm sure- altough our house is now deadly to anyone with a nut allergy as i'm sure there's a thin layer of peanut butter on almost every surface.

We had sweet pancakes for lunch- because we're bad parents  the coolest!
