Pass the towel
A quiet, relaxed, perfect Sunday. HH repeated his Sleeping Beauty act, surfacing at 9.30. Meantime, Kayla and I wandered round the garden, watched the flycatchers having flying lessons, had a leisurely breakfast, tried to find something to photograph (well, Kayla was lax on that front) and generally took things easy. We couldn’t be bothered to leave the house until early evening, when we took Kayla for a long walk.
Punctually at 4 pm, some colourful tanagers turned up for their bath. A little blue one was hilarious, splashing and fluffing and hopping in and out, while a handsome yellow and black chap fidgeted round the edge, hoping for a look-in. Others came and went, but the blue chap hung on to centre stage. By 4.15, they had all gone. While I was focused on the tanagers, I heard a humming bird behind me and turned just in time to get a couple of shots, but I’ve posted humming birds before, so the blue boys take the post.
