Tokyo Tower

On my second day in Tokyo I covered the older side of the city, or what little of it is left after the fire bombing during world war 2. As the sun set I headed for the garish orange and white replica of the Eiffel Tower known as the Tokyo Tower. I went up just as the sun was setting and spent quite some time trying to get a decent shot of the city which was quite hard through glass with no tripod on a slow shutter speed with hundreds of people milling around. I think I eventually managed it with this photo though which was taken with the camera balanced on my bag. It really did look quite beautiful at night.
