Yasaka-jinja

On Sunday I got the bullet train to Kyoto, the city of temples. I went straight out and soaked up some of the beautiful Buddhist temples nestled into the hillsides. Unfortunately the two biggest ones were covered in scaffolding but the smaller ones were nice. I really like this photo of this Japanese couple in Kimonos coming out of the temple gate at dusk. It's a shame about the two people in Goretex detracting from the ambience! I'm sure I've ruined plenty of pictures in my own careless manner a few times before so I guess it's even!
