Frozen Pond

Another sunny but very cold day. We decided to take a stroll around Coppice Pond in the St Ives Estate to see how much ice there was.

Most of the top end near the duck feeding station was frozen including all the area around the island. The gulls seem to like to stand on the ice but the others were in the small area of open water nearest to the main gate.

We walked all around, taking this shot of the stumps in the ice at the far side of the pond before heading to Lady B's for a warming coffee.
