Swamphen

The rarely seen Purple Swamphen! No I didn't know it existed either-but it's very shy and obviously a relation to a Morhen, but much more exotic looking with incredible purple, blue and turquoise feathers and a distinctive red beak. It moves about in the reeds and keeps out of sight-I was lucky to get this quick glimpse & photograph of it.
