All nuts and bolts!
Lets start with the bolts.
We had a door man come and talk about a new front door today. It didn't start off well as last night he tried to change the appointment time we had today.
He arrived at 10am. The first thing he said was "sorry Im late, but I don't have long". The second thing he said was "I can see already your frame is too narrow - I don't think we can make you a door". I already didn't like him.
Other statements included "you don't want a black door frame", "you cant choose your window size despite what the useless sales lady said in the office", "I would have the double locking system, the one you have chosen is fraught with problems, I don't like it" (to which point I couldn't bite my lip and said "just as well its not your house and you wont be living here then) and he went on to slag off the window company we had already used despite saying he had never heard of them then chose a back door himself (because I was close to tears with his thoughtlessness and lack of respect for my house that I just shut off) but he couldn't have left quickly enough when we said we weren't ready to leave a 25% deposit.
I had to have an apple and ginger shot to calm myself down. It was delish!!!!! (the first thing I made in my new juicer I bought yesterday - in the background here!)
Then Mr W popped out to buy a trickle charger for the bike (the cold weather has drained the battery) so I played about with my new delivery of nuts and seeds. I have no idea what they all do or how they taste but I will learn! As I still dont have a food processor, I thought the blender might work when I needed to blitz up 2 cups of blanched, roasted almonds to make some almond butter, but 2 minutes into the instructed 15 minutes, I burnt out the plastic cogg that connected the jug to the motor!!! So thats my blender (that thing with the blue ring) I have ruined! My lovely friend Mandi responded to my facebook plee to borrow a food processor and said she will drop it off at the weekend! Im so frustrated I am so near yet so far with all these delicious, healthy goodies I want to make and the ground (almost butter) almonds are actually totally delicious too!
Then Mr W and I popped to TK Max to check out the heart jars (same as the one the pasta is in!) for my seeds and went to the cinema to see Big Hero 6. It was quite funny and great for kids, but I found it a bit boring!
So it was a bit of an Almond nuts and Door bolts kind of day. And another day off tomorrow - I shall see what else I can break!!!!!
Night night!
xXx
